Out of Bounds / Lost Ball Rule
The only relief for Out of Bounds is stroke and distance (take it back to where you hit it) Rule 18.2 OR the new Model Local Rule E-5 which is explained and shown at this link.
18.2 Ball Lost or Out of Bounds says Stroke-and-Distance Relief Must Be Taken by adding one penalty stroke and playing the original ball or another ball from where the previous stroke was made (see Rule 14.6). Example:
Model E-5 Rule allows one to place the ball in a rather large penalty area (not necessarily grass) that is very carefully calculated.
Sun City has adopted the USGA Model E-5 rule. This rule is a 2 stroke penalty. Example:

- A ball is lost if not found in three minutes after the player or his or her caddie begins to search for it.
- A ball at rest is out of bounds only when ALL of it is outside the boundary edge of the course.

- I go back to the tee (that’s 2) and
